Golden Skillet

What is it?

The "Golden Skillet" is an award given for our Pack's dutch oven cooking contest, held at each spring and fall family campout. It is an actual Lodge cast-iron skillet, painted gold, and signed by the winner of each cooking contest.

Who can enter the contest?

Anyone who attends the campout can participate, even if you don't have your own cookware. The Pack currently owns a couple of dutch ovens and other individuals have their own that you can borrow.

What do they cook?

Our contest is a dessert cooking contest and anything goes, so long as you prepare it yourself from ingredients in a dutch oven.
